Malkin Gambling-Motivated Crime Diversion Checklist

The checklist is intended to help practitioners, lawyers, judges and others to better understand what is and what is not a gambling-motivated acquisitional crime and who is most appropriate for a gambling treatment diversion program. While not intended as the only assessment to understanding whether an individual committed a gambling-motivated crime, it should be a guide to help identify those that may be best served through court and other criminal diversion programs in order to help the individual receive treatment and to provide insight and understanding into these types of offenses.
